Attest completion of required hours on the registration renewal form; sponsors issue Certificates of Completion and licensees retain CE records for 6 years for possible Department audit.

New York chiropractors must complete 36 contact hours of continuing education in each three-year registration period (Education Law; 8 NYCRR 73.2 / State Board for Chiropractic CE Q&A). One contact hour is at least 50 minutes. No more than one-third (12 hours) may be formal self-study courses; excess hours may not be carried over to subsequent registration periods.
