Renewal: Annual renewal; the 24-hour CE certificate must accompany the renewal application each year covering the preceding 12 months. A person initially licensed in January owes the full 24 hours by December 31 of that year; one initially licensed in July owes 12 hours for the first partial year, then 24 each year after (Ark. Code § 17-81-312(b)).

Reporting
Certificate of attendance for 24 hours of CE (12 for a July first-licensure year) must accompany the Renewal License Application; the Board may waive the requirement for sickness, injury, military service, or other valid reason.

Arkansas requires 24 hours of board-approved CE per year with no mandated topic subcategories — up to 12 hours may be preapproved videotaped education per Board rule 17 CAR § 110-603. The Board will not renew the license of anyone actively practicing in-state without the CE evidence.
