Reporting

CE hours are attested at renewal; audits of compliance are conducted after each license period ends. Licensees keep their own CE records for at least 4 years and submit documentation only on board request.

Grace period

60-day grace period after license expiration per §24-34-102(8)(c), C.R.S.; the licensee may not practice on an expired license beyond that period.

Active licensees need 30 CE hours per 2-year license period under Board Rule 1.10 (changed from 15 hours/year by HB20-1210, 2020). New-licensee break: ≤12 months licensed before first renewal = no CE required; 12–24 months = 15 hours. No carryover to the next period; no limit on distance learning (proficiency test required). Inactive licensees are exempt from CE.
