Reporting

Licensees retain certificates of completion for 3 years after the CE monitoring period; CE records are submitted to the Department of Public Health only upon request (within 45 days of the request).

48 contact hours per 2-year CE monitoring period under RCSA §§20-32b-1 to -7, with no carryover. Content must be face-to-face or an approved self-assessment program, concentrated on topics in CGS §§20-24 and 20-28, offered by a CCE-accredited college or ACCME-accredited provider. A licensee applying for license renewal for the first time is exempt from CE; inactive/non-practicing licensees may apply for a waiver and must complete 24 hours within 6 months of returning to active practice.
