Renewal: License expires annually at midnight on the last day of the licensee's birth month (CCR Title 16 §371; Chiropractic Initiative Act §12). All 24 CE hours must be completed before submitting the renewal form.

Details

Reporting
Renewal is by mailed paper form (no online renewal); CE must be completed before submitting the form. Providers supply course rosters to the board on request (audits).
Grace period
60-day post-expiration period before the license is forfeited, with a delinquency fee; not a true grace period for practice.

Active licensees need 24 CE hours per annual license period per CCR Title 16 §361. Six hours are mandatory (2 Ethics & Law; 4 in adjustive technique, history/exam procedures, or billing & coding); the remaining 18 may be electives. Max 12 of the 24 may be distance learning; max 2 hours CPR/AED and max 4 hours for attending a full board meeting count as elective credit.
