Renewal: Every registered chiropractor shall annually, before April 1, pay the license fee and furnish evidence of 12 hours of instruction completed in the 12 months preceding the renewal date (M.G.L. c. 112, § 96; 233 CMR 2.00).

12 hours of instruction in chiropractic-related subjects per year, conducted by the Massachusetts Chiropractic Society or equivalent board-approved instruction; the Board may waive the requirement for emergency or extreme hardship. Failure to renew by April 1 places the registration on inactive status. Note: one CE vendor claims 20 hours/year — the statute and regulation require 12.
