For controlled-substance-authorized APRNs: 3.5 hours of controlled-substance prescribing CE per licensing period (a one-time 3.5-hour SBIRT class satisfies the requirement for the period in which it is taken; SBIRT required once per licensure) plus the 0.5-hour DOPL controlled-substance-database tutorial, which is waivable by attestation (conditional)

Details

No separate quantified APRN CE beyond the competency routes above. UCA §58-1-601 makes suicide-prevention videos available to nurse practitioners as primary care providers and allows them to count toward continuing competency — it is optional, not a renewal requirement. Licensees must retain compliance documentation for two years after the end of the renewal cycle.
