Renewal application via the AZBN Nurse Portal; national certification verified directly by the credentialing agency.

The APRN certificate expires when the RN license (or national certification) expires, whichever occurs first; RN licenses renew by April 1 every 4 years. There are no general APRN CE hours beyond the conditional 3-hour DEA-registrant requirement. Renewals may be submitted up to 6 months before the due date or within 30 days after it. APRN renewal requires a separate application after RN renewal: 960 APRN practice hours in the past 5 years, an active Arizona RN license or current multistate RN privilege, active national certification, and (for active DEA holders) 3 hours of opioid/SUD/addiction CE per A.R.S. section 32-3248.02.
