Per OAC 435:15-3-17: at least 20 hours of Category I CME earned during the preceding calendar year (new licensees exempt until one year after licensure), including 1 hour on substance abuse. Hours are logged and reported to the Board annually by the Oklahoma Academy of Physician Assistants. Miss the December 31 CME deadline and the PA cannot renew until deficiencies are made up, and must earn 40 hours the next year. Renewal also requires passing the board's jurisprudence exam per OAC 435:15-3-18.
