Colorado's only general CME-style requirement for ordinary active PA renewal is the 2 hours of substance-use training per renewal period under Rule 135 (attestation at renewal; exemptions per C.R.S. 12-30-114(1)(b)). The commonly cited 100 hours every 2 years with 25 Category I hours in the preceding 12 months applies to return-to-practice, reinstatement, and reactivation continued-competency rules (3 CCR 713-29), not to ordinary active renewal.
