Details

Connecticut PAs must meet the NCCPA's mandatory CME and maintenance-exam requirements; the 100/2 figure is the NCCPA requirement, indirect via state incorporation, not an independent state total. The state license renews annually (birth month) while CME accrues on the NCCPA 2-year cycle. In addition, at least 1 contact hour in controlled-substance prescribing and pain management in the preceding 2 years is required of all PAs. Conn. Gen. Stat. section 20-12j also requires 2 hours of training on PTSD, suicide risk, depression, grief, and suicide prevention during the first renewal and at least once every 6 years thereafter (verified via Justia's reproduction of the statute and an official Connecticut General Assembly public-act summary).
