Renewal: Two tiers: non-TPA-certified ODs must complete 15 hrs per calendar year (N.H. Admin. Code Opt 402.02); TPA-certified ODs must complete 50 hrs per calendar year. Renewal applications are due December 1 of the renewal year under RSA 328-F:19; late filings December 2–31 incur a late fee; licenses lapse after December 31 if not filed. Grace period
Renewal applications submitted December 2–31 must include a late filing fee; licenses lapse when no completed application is filed by December 31 (RSA 328-F:19 III).

Confirmed against RSA 327:33-a (NH General Court, official): an optometrist certified to use pharmaceutical agents shall complete a minimum of 50 hours of continuing education every year to maintain pharmaceutical certification; a minimum of 20 hours shall be by participation in formal courses. An optometrist certified to treat glaucoma shall complete a minimum of 10 of the required hours in glaucoma-specific education (minimum 7 hours formal courses). Non-pharmaceutical-certified optometrists: minimum 15 hours per calendar year (RSA 327:33). Per N.H. Admin. Code Opt 402.02/402.03/402.04, the TPA track is 50 hrs/year including 20 hrs ocular disease Class I (up to 8 hrs alternative CE); practice management capped at 3 hrs in either track; 'alternative CE' is non-live CE (internet, teleconferences, DVDs).
