CRNP certification renewal is biennial and certification-based. The official MBON APRN renewal notice packet includes the Implicit Bias Attestation and requires proof of current national certification; the MBON FY2022 annual report to the legislature confirms a biennial (2-year) renewal cycle, and the Health Occupations regulatory proposal for COMAR 10.27.07.04 provides that a nurse practitioner may renew the certification biennially upon submitting documentation of every current national certification. AANP's Maryland policy fact sheet (October 2025, citing COMAR 10.27.07.04) summarizes CE as 'hours as required for national certification.' There are no state-mandated recurring CE hours at the APRN tier. The one-time implicit-bias/structural-racism requirement is an attestation (per the official renewal packet, and MBON's 2025 legislative summary for first renewals after April 1, 2026) — no fixed hour figure is established in official sources, so no hour value is modeled.
