Grace period
30-day grace period after the 15th of the birth month; CE may be completed during the grace period; $50 late fee; no monetary penalty for missing the 30-day advance-completion target.

36-hour figure and ARNP renewal instructions verified on the official Iowa DIAL renewal page. The conditional 2-hour opioid CE (655 IAC 7.6(8)) is the only ARNP-specific CE and is recorded as the NP-tier category. ARNP renewal is for the same 3-year period as the RN license. The 36 contact hours are a universal requirement to renew 'any license' -- not an ARNP-tier addition -- so the NP-tier totalHours is 0. ARNP renewal additionally requires documentation of current time-dated advanced-level national certification; a single-state out-of-state RN must hold an active Iowa RN license (compact multistate licensees need not). Mandatory child/dependent-adult abuse reporter training applies per Iowa Code based on practice population.
