Reporting
Self-report on renewal application; submit CPR statement; retain certificates for audit.

30 hours per biennium (compliance period September 1 through August 31) under IAC 481-Chapter 573, effective April 9, 2025 and amended effective June 3, 2026: 1 hour infection control, 1 hour Iowa jurisprudence, CPR certification required (maximum 3 CE hours for CPR), maximum 12 self-study hours. Up to 15 excess hours may carry forward, but CPR, infection-control, jurisprudence, radiography, and opioid hours cannot carry forward. Report at renewal; retain evidence four years. Iowa Code 153.15A requires valid annual CPR certification credited toward the CE requirement.
