Details

South Dakota imposes no separate quantified APRN CE beyond the RN cycle — continued competency is demonstrated through current national certification. APRNs recognized before June 26, 1996 are grandfathered from the national certification requirement. The APRN must hold an active SD RN license or a qualifying multistate RN privilege; a lapsed license does not authorize practice.
