Details

New York sets NO hour-based continuing-education requirement for PA license renewal. PAs must, however, complete NYSDOH-mandated infection-control/barrier-precautions training at initial licensure and every 4 years thereafter (Public Health Law §239; documented to the Dept. of Health, not the Education Department). Prescribers are also subject to the state's controlled-substance prescriber training rules, and the one-time updated Child Abuse Identification and Reporting (CAIR) training was due April 1, 2025. Current NCCPA certification is not required for NY state renewal.
