The Board's APN certification page confirms the qualifying exam may be for nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, or nurse anesthetists — so NJ CRNAs hold APN certification and the APN CE rule applies. Organ/tissue donation (1 hour) is one-time, not a recurring category; implicit/explicit bias (1 hour) applies only if the nurse provides care to pregnant persons; up to 15 hours may carry over. End-of-life 2-hour requirement verified in N.J.A.C. 13:37-7.8(b). National track (all states): NBCRNA Continued Professional Certification (CPC), now branded MAC (Maintaining Anesthesia Certification), requires 60 Class A (MAC Ed, assessed/prior-approved CE) + 40 Class B (MAC Dev, professional development) credits per 4-year cycle, plus quarterly MAC Check knowledge checks and 2-year check-ins.
