Details

The former 24-contact-hour/12-pharmacology CE rule was repealed by the MAR 24-159-93 rulemaking, effective 11/18/2023 (2023 MAR p. 1611); the current ARM 24.159.1469 contains no fixed CE-hour requirement — only ongoing competence development, national recertification verification, and a quality-assurance plan. Note: the Board's downloadable 2021 APRN rules PDF still shows the repealed 24-hour text; the current ARM 24.159.1469 (amended effective 11/18/2023) supersedes it and contains no fixed CE-hour requirement. Odd/even-year licensee parity is per-licensee issuance, so parity is left null. National track (all states): NBCRNA Continued Professional Certification (CPC), now branded MAC (Maintaining Anesthesia Certification), requires 60 Class A (MAC Ed, assessed/prior-approved CE) + 40 Class B (MAC Dev, professional development) credits per 4-year cycle, plus quarterly MAC Check knowledge checks and 2-year check-ins. Excess Class A credits may count toward Class B. A practicing CRNA must satisfy BOTH the NBCRNA program and the state license requirement above.
