Details

No grace period to practice: the license lapses January 1 and practice may not resume until relicensure is issued. The current adopted rule does not contain the 2026 proposal's 'APRN competency replaces duplicate RN competency' language, and the June 2026 notice-of-intent proposals (a pre-1999 40-hour grandfather path and universal 3-hour controlled-substance/substance-use CE) are not adopted — they must not be treated as effective.
