Per the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners' official CME requirements for the 2025-2027 biennium: 40 total hours for established PA licensees, all of which must be AAPA Category 1, AMA Category 1, or Board-approved; 20 hours within scope/specialty; 2 hours in ethics, pain management, or addiction care; remaining 18 hours other qualifying CME. SBIRT training is a one-time initial-licensure requirement, not a recurring category, and is not counted here. Do not mix with the separate Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine rules, which changed in 2025-2026. NCCPA certification alone does not substitute for the state CME total in this Board document.
