Details

Per 11 CSR 1B 15: minimum 50 hours Category I (AMA/AAPA/AAFP) plus 50 hours Category II during the preceding 2-year period; written documentation of a current original NCCPA certificate may substitute for the hour documentation (per Board newsletter). The Board requires a 3-hour Board-approved course on drug diversion and best-practice prescribing of controlled substances each renewal period for PAs who prescribed/administered/dispensed CS. An older Board publication also cites a 2-hour end-of-life care (incl. pain management) requirement per W. Va. Code §30-1-7a; current standing of that requirement should be confirmed with the Board.
