At least 20 of 30 hours must be Type 1 (earned in face-to-face settings, interactive courses, or other peer interaction); up to 10 hours Type 2; no carryover. Renewal also requires 160 hours of active practice in the preceding 2 years. New licensees are exempt for the first biennial renewal following initial licensure by examination.
