Renewal: LPN licenses expire March 31 of odd-numbered years per Rule 410-5-.02; a late renewal window runs through April 30, but practicing after March 31 without renewal is prohibited.

Georgia LPNs differ from RNs: continuing competency under Rule 410-13-.02 is 20 contact hours per biennium (not 30), or completion of an accredited academic program of study in registered professional nursing. First-time renewals with an initial license period of six months or less are exempt until the second renewal. CE documentation is submitted through CE Broker.
