Details
California LVNs (regulated by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, not the Board of Registered Nursing) must complete 30 contact hours of Board-approved CE completed within the two years preceding renewal. The first renewal following license issuance is exempt from the 30-hour requirement; CE certificates must be retained four years for audit. No mandatory topic breakdown applies to LVN renewals per the Board's renewal form.
