Renewal: Licenses renew annually on the practitioner's birthday (WAC 246-915-990; WAC 246-12); the 32-hour CE requirement runs on a two-year cycle.

32 hours CE every 2 years, including 2 hours of health equity training every 2 years (counts toward the 32). One-time 3-hour suicide screening-and-referral training required. The WA Jurisprudence exam is required once during the first full CE cycle for those licensed on/after 01/01/2026 (optional 1 CE hour per cycle thereafter).
