Maintain evidence of CE; attest and provide documentation to the Board on request.

20 hours in the preceding two years, relevant to the practice of dental hygiene, due May 1 of even-numbered years under 216-RICR-40-05-2 section 2.7.5: minimum 1 hour per year training on the CDC Infection Control Guidelines for hygienists practicing in a dental setting, and a current certificate of completion in BLS for the Healthcare Provider with a hands-on skill component conforming to the current AHA Guidelines Update. CE is prorated for licenses in effect less than two years (average 10 hours per year in effect). All 20 hours may be home study.
