Kansas requires 30 approved continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours per biennial period for LPNs; hours must be board-approved. An LPN is exempt from the 30-hour requirement if the license expires within 30 months following the initial licensure examination, or within the first 9 months following reinstatement or endorsement.
