Nevada MDs: 40 hours biennially including 2 hours in ethics, pain management, and/or addiction care. Nevada DOs: 35 hours annually through 2026-12-31, then 40 hours per biennium under adopted regulation R092-25 (effective 2027-01-01): at least 20 Category 1A hours and 4 hours on misuse/abuse of controlled substances, opioid prescribing, or addiction; suicide prevention/awareness instruction within 2 years of initial licensure and every 4 years thereafter.
