Nevada licenses CRNAs separately from APRNs (NRS 632.2395; NAC 632.540 — certificate of registration), so the generic 45-hour APRN rule (NAC 632.291) is not the governing record. Note the prerequisite Nevada RN license has its own 30-hour renewal requirement per NRS 632.343 and the Board FAQ (one-time bioterrorism course; cultural competency/DEI course each cycle). The Board's continuing-education page returned 404 during this review; the NAC text was used as the official fallback. Per NAC 632.540(3), national recertification within 1 year before the nurse anesthetist's birthday counts as 40 of the 45 contact hours plus validation of professional practice during the previous 2 years. National track (all states): NBCRNA Continued Professional Certification (CPC), now branded MAC (Maintaining Anesthesia Certification), requires 60 Class A (MAC Ed, assessed/prior-approved CE) + 40 Class B (MAC Dev, professional development) credits per 4-year cycle, plus quarterly MAC Check knowledge checks and 2-year check-ins.
