Michigan does not issue a modern separate APRN license; CRNAs practice under RN licensure with a Nurse Anesthetist (NA) specialty certification (the asterisk in the Board FAQ denotes APRN). The RN renewal CE rule therefore governs: 25 hours per 2-year period preceding renewal. National certification must be maintained (audited). Human-trafficking training is one-time and not part of the CE requirement. UNCONFIRMED: the Board FAQ states licenses are valid 2 years (initial and each renewal) but does not anchor the cycle to a birthday or fixed date, so LICENSE_ANNIVERSARY is used; the exact cycle anchor was not verified. National track (all states): NBCRNA Continued Professional Certification (CPC), now branded MAC (Maintaining Anesthesia Certification), requires 60 Class A (MAC Ed, assessed/prior-approved CE) + 40 Class B (MAC Dev, professional development) credits per 4-year cycle, plus quarterly MAC Check knowledge checks and 2-year check-ins.
