Renewal up to 90 days after expiration with the late fee; renewal more than 90 days after expiration requires meeting all new-applicant requirements (the board may waive examination if the application is within 2 years of expiration).

Maine requires 10 CE hours annually for OTs (6 for OTAs), including 1 hour of ethics and a minimum of 4 hours completed through a program offered by a recognized sponsor. Hours cannot be carried forward into a subsequent renewal period.
