20 clinical hours per two-year cycle under LAC 46:XXXIII Chapter 16 and the Board's CE requirements (effective January 20, 2018, all CE must be clinical in nature, i.e., related to the actual delivery of dental/dental hygiene services): 12 hours personally attended plus 8 hours that may be in person or online/correspondence with a written test. Renewal is biennial on December 31 with the year staggered by licensee last name. Current CPR/BLS is widely reported as required at renewal (counting 3 hours toward the 20) but was not verified in the captured rule text - confirm with the Board.
