24 approved hours for each two-year license period, with up to 24 excess hours carried forward (Act 147 of 2002, §608-A). Act 142 of 2024 (effective April 29, 2025) adds 3 hours of ethics for all resident producers and 2 hours of flood training for property/casualty and personal-lines licensees, whether or not they sell flood; existing licensees complete the new requirements within 12 months or by the end of the current license period, whichever is longer. An official IRRC regulatory filing confirms the conversion to birth-month license expirations.
