Confirmed against TSPC rulemaking (PDU Requirements Reinstatement): 25 Continuing PDUs per year of license term — 125 PDUs per five-year Professional Teaching License (75 per three-year license). Transitional totals apply to five-year licenses expiring 2026 (50 PDUs), 2027 (75), 2028 (100), and 2029 (125). 1 hour of PDU activity = 1 PDU; 1 semester hour = 30 PDUs; 1 quarter hour = 20 PDUs; up to 25 PDUs may carry over from the prior period. Native unit is PDUs; totalHours is not converted. Added 2026-09-30: SB 1550 (2024) requires school counselors (Legacy/Preliminary/Professional) to complete 2 hrs per 2-year or 3 hrs per 3-year suicide risk assessment/treatment/management PD at renewal; teacher PDUs have no mandated topics (TSPC renewal requirements).
