OSSE 5 DCMR §1604.3 (final rulemaking): renewal of a standard teaching credential requires (a) effective-or-better summative LEA teacher evaluation rating for ≥3 years during the 4-year term, OR (b) ≥120 hours of professional development during the 4-year term. OSSE guidance: ≥50% (60 hrs) must have a primary focus on delivering content. Advanced teaching credential: 5-year term, highly-effective route. Expired credentials cannot be renewed, only reinstated (§1604.4).
