Confirmed 2026-09-22: GaPSC Rule 505-2-.36 (current, effective July 1, 2025) provides that Georgia's renewable certificates (Standard Professional, Performance-Based Professional, Advanced Professional, Lead Professional) are valid for five years. Educators employed by a Georgia LUA in a position requiring certification renew by fully participating in the LUA's professional learning community via an individual Professional Learning Plan (PLP) or Professional Learning Goals (PLGs) coordinated with their supervisor — no statewide numeric hour total applies. Non-employed educators use Standard Renewal Requirements options (e.g., 6 semester hours; combinable PLU/CEU/clock-hour options). Modeled as 0 hours over the 5-year cycle: 0 means no single universal numeric total, not no professional-learning obligation.
