Pilot program in effect from 2018-01-01 replaced the former 100-hour structure: 50 CME credits biennially, all Category 1 or 2, including 10 risk management, 2 end-of-life, 3 opioid/pain for controlled-substance prescribers, and 3 EHR; 2 implicit-bias credits per renewal (from 2022-06-01) count within risk management; study of 243 CMR chapters 1.00–3.00 earns 2 risk-management credits per chapter. Separate one-time trainings in child abuse/neglect, domestic/sexual violence, and (for adult-serving physicians) Alzheimer's/dementia apply under state law.
