LSBME annual CE schedule (7/20/2026) confirms 20 Category 1 AMA or board-approved hours annually for physicians (MD, DO, compact), with renewal in the birth month. CE Broker tracking is mandatory for all LSBME licensees and renewal is blocked if CE Broker does not show the required credits (LSBME renewals page). One-time 3-hour Board pre-approved CDS CME covering prescribing best practices, drug diversion, addiction treatment, and chronic pain is required before the first renewal per Act 76 / Board rules on CME re CDS (section 4005); residents must also complete it. A Laws and Rules course is required for first-time renewal. A proposed nutrition/metabolic-health CME mandate (2025 SB 14) is under development and is not encoded here.
