Verified against IDAPA 24.36.01 as amended (competence-attestation model): to meet the standard of care, pharmacists are expected to complete sufficient continuing education germane to the practice of pharmacy to maintain professional competence, and at license renewal every pharmacist attests to having maintained competence through CE commensurate with the active practice setting. The former fixed formula (15 hours per calendar year, at least 12 ACPE pharmacist-designated hours and up to 3 ACCME CME hours, former IDAPA 24.36.01.213) was struck by the Board and the standard-of-care approach was enacted through 2024 HB 527 and the 2025 HB 107 / HB 200 legislative sessions (DOPL June 2025 NABP newsletter, ID Vol. 45 No. 1). There is no fixed hourly minimum, so totalHours is modeled as 0. The 2024 Board newsletter described the transition to biennial birth-date renewals; DOPL was given until 2028 to complete it.
