Pending 2026 rules (reviewed 09/01/2026, before the legislature) consolidate this to 36 hours in the two years before renewal with no more than 18 hours asynchronous — numerically identical over the 2-year cycle. Licensees maintain documentation; Board audits and may refuse renewal without it. Historical 12+6 (non-TPA + TPA pharmacology) tier was replaced by the flat 18/year rule effective 3-28-23.
