Confirmed: 36 hrs/biennium of board-approved CE in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular and systemic diseases for therapeutically certified licensees (32 hrs/biennium for non-therapeutically-certified licensees, who need not complete disease CE). Per HAR §16-92-38 (Auth HRS §459-4); renewal parity per HRS §459-7 and DCCA renewal page ('Renew by December 31 every odd-numbered year'). A 100-hour school-based therapeutic course completed within 2 years of renewal satisfies the 36-hour requirement once. Newly licensed in year 1 of biennium: 16 hrs (non-TPA); licensed in year 2: none due at first renewal.
