30 hours per two-year period including current CPR certification for healthcare providers, 2 hours infection control, 1 hour ethics, 2 hours LGBTQ cultural competency, and at least 10% (3 hours) in Director-published public-health-priority subjects. Dentists permitted by DEA and the DC Pharmaceutical Control Division to prescribe controlled substances must complete 2 hours on controlled-substance abuse/misuse and opioid prescribing within the 30 hours. Approved internet courses permitted (including for CPR/BLS/PALS/ACLS). Not applicable to initial license by examination/endorsement or the first renewal of a license granted by examination.
