Required categories

Details

30 contact hours of continuing social work education within each 2-year license period (reduced from 40 hours effective July 2022). At least 2 hours must address mental health conditions specific to veterans and family members of veterans, and at least 1 hour must be in social work ethics. At least 20 hours must be earned through WV-approved providers (Category I), of which at least 10 hours must be synchronous (in-person or live online); no more than 10 hours may be asynchronous online. The balance may be earned through individual professional activities (Category II).
