Washington requires 100 clock hours per five years, including 15 hours of equity-based school practices and, for educators holding a STEM endorsement, 15 hours of STEM. First renewals also require attesting to a course on issues of abuse and emotional/behavioral distress in students. A valid National Board certificate may be presented in lieu of clock hours.
