Failure to certify CEP compliance causes expiration. Under Tex. Occ. Code §1001.276: expired ≤90 days, renewal fee plus late renewal fee; 90 days to 2 years, renewal fee plus late renewal fee for each delinquent year; expired 2 years or more, no renewal — a new license is required. Practicing while expired is prohibited; CEP noncompliance is subject to sanctions including certificate suspension or revocation.Verify with board

CEP records must be retained four years and furnished to the Board on request; records are subject to Board audit.
