Details

Tennessee Rule 1000-01-.14 requires evidence of continued competence at renewal: a personal file documenting at least two of the Board's listed activities, including activity 10 (five contact hours of CE/inservice applicable to the licensee's practice); other options include employer or peer evaluations, national certification, published articles, refresher or orientation programs, and nursing coursework. RNs not practicing full-time have separate compliance options. Documentation must be retained four years and produced on Board request. The renewal due date is the last day of the month in which the licensee's birth date falls (Rule 1000-01-.03(1)), under the Division's biennial birth-date renewal system.
