How compliance is checked

Optometric physicians must maintain CE documentation for no less than 3 years from submission to the Board; the Board conducts random audits and licensees selected for audit have 21 days to respond. Failure to respond to a CE audit within 21 days draws a $400 civil penalty; failure to complete or document CE by the due date draws $650 plus license suspension if 60+ days overdue (OAR 852-070-0020).
