Board wording: Annual renewal: the 12-month license period expires on the last day of the licensee's birth month. All CE must be completed before renewing; renewal notices are emailed about 45 days before the renewal date.

Grace period
30-day grace period after expiration during which the licensee may continue practicing; $150 late penalty added for each week late. A licensee who has not renewed by the end of the grace period must stop practicing; failure to renew within 12 months results in forfeiture and the person must reapply for licensure.
Reporting
Attest to CE completion on the renewal affidavit; keep records to support the attestation. The Board does not pre-approve CE programs (licensee's responsibility to match subject matter to the rules) and maintains a list of disapproved courses.
