Under Mich. Admin. Code R 338.1251/1252, 20 hours of CE are required per renewal. At least 1 hour must be in pain and symptom management (MCL 333.16204). One-half of the hours (10) must be completed by live, synchronous, interactive courses or programs; not more than 10 hours per 24-hour period may be asynchronous online/electronic media. No credit for a program identical or substantially similar to one already credited in the renewal period. Human-trafficking training is a one-time initial-licensure requirement. (CE providers also report a 1-hour-per-year implicit-bias training requirement under R 338.7008a; verify with LARA.)
